Like a bird with a clipped wing
I’m broken, I’m damaged
With no song to sing.
I try to push forward, I only go back.
I try to sing a song, my tune is off track.
I have no strength, I feel so weak.
I have no drive, the outlook seems bleak.
But strength comes from within, strength comes from the heart.
Take a deep breath, don’t fall apart.
Sing a little louder, just push back.
Sing a little harder, don’t go back.
Fly away little birdie, fly so high.
The world is yours, go touch the sky.
