Laughter and cheer
Sounds of joy far and near.
30 days of fasting
30 days of good deeds
Early morning prayers
Late nights at the mosque
What always seems daunting at the beginning
Passes by without a second thought.
We made it through the long days
We conquered those late nights
We gave back to those less fortunate
We spiritually cleaned our heart.
Now today we celebrate
Today we rejoice
For today is a day of festivity
Today is Eid.
