A silent cry in the night
A painful feeling
Nobody to hear it
Nobody to stop the fight.
It hurts so deep
I can barely feel my body
I silently weep.
The morning comes
Daylight shines again
I search for hope
I pray for peace.
But nothing consoles me
Peace is nowhere to be found
I’m surrounded by pain
And destruction all around.
