In the whirlwind of tradeshow days

Chaos surrounds me as I rush around each day.

From early morning setup to late evening shutdown,

There’s a flurry of commotion all day long.

Handshakes and smiles,

Meeting so many people.

Networking and sales pitches

Everyone acting so cheerful.

So many events and so much chatter,

The introvert in me is about to splatter!

Farheen’s Note: Last week, I attended SPIE BiOS and Photonics West, an annual conference focused on photonics research and technology. As my company’s marketing lead for this event, I start planning about six months in advance, with preparations continuing right up until the final moments. It’s always exciting to see my colleagues and watch everything come together, but it’s also an incredibly busy time. As much as I enjoy the week and the hustle and bustle it brings, I have to admit that I’m always a little relieved when it’s over and I can head back home!
